End user license agreement: Restriction Manager for Confluence

This agreement is between Zach Whritenour, doing business as Keyward Labs, 307A Awdry Way, Manassas Park, VA 20111, USA ("we", "us") and the customer that installs Restriction Manager for Confluence ("the app") on a Confluence Cloud site ("you"). By installing or using the app, you agree to it. If you install the app for an organization, you confirm you may accept this agreement on its behalf.

1. License

While your subscription is active, we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app on the Confluence Cloud site where it is installed, for your internal business purposes. The free tier and trials are covered by this agreement too.

2. Purchases through Atlassian

You buy, renew and cancel subscriptions through the Atlassian Marketplace. Prices, billing, renewals and refunds follow the Atlassian Marketplace terms that apply to your purchase. User tiers follow your Confluence user tier.

3. What you may not do

You may not: copy, modify or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it despite this clause; resell, sublicense or rent the app; use it to break the law or anyone's rights; or try to get around its security or permission checks.

4. Your data

You keep all rights to your data. The app processes it only to provide its features, as described in our privacy policy at https://keywardlabs.com/restriction-manager/privacy. The app runs on Atlassian Forge and stores its data in Atlassian's cloud; Atlassian's own terms cover that hosting.

5. How the app changes restrictions

The app changes page restrictions in Confluence when you switch on its rules or run its bulk actions. It only acts for space admins and only in the ways its screens describe. You are responsible for choosing the rules and actions that suit your organization, and for checking the results, for example with the app's audit.

6. Support and updates

We provide support as described at https://keywardlabs.com/support. We may update the app to fix problems, keep up with changes to Confluence, or add features. If we plan to retire the app, we will give at least 90 days' notice.

7. Warranty disclaimer

We will make reasonable efforts to keep the app working as described. Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we don't promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted. The app depends on Confluence and Forge, which Atlassian runs, not us.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows: (a) neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data; and (b) each party's total liability under this agreement is limited to the amounts you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply to liability that can't be limited by law.

9. Ending the agreement

This agreement ends when your subscription ends or you uninstall the app. We may end it if you seriously breach it and don't fix the breach within 30 days of our notice. When it ends, you must stop using the app. Sections 4, 7, 8 and 10 continue after it ends.

10. General

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, and disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Virginia. If a court finds part of it unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update this agreement by posting a new version at https://keywardlabs.com/restriction-manager/terms.
